In the early 1990's Matt Xavier founded New York City's first goa/psy-trance company, Tsunami Productions, where he remained as resident DJ and Music Director until the turn of the millennium. Following his departure, he retired the format and began producing tech-house music under the moniker "Gruvhaus", whose releases & remixes appeared on such labels as Fabric UK, Release Records, Polyester Music, Fugu & Chug Records. In 2005, he partnered with longtime friend Sean Palm and founded the internationally recognized techno/house label, Railyard Recordings. The imprint has attracted such renowned talents as Joel Mull, Cari Lekebusch, Alexi Delano, Donato Dozzy, Simon Flower, Adultnapper, Mathew Jonson, Voyager, & Android Cartel. Since his 2003 arrival in Los Angeles he has held the role of resident DJ/Music Director at Compression LA and The Mor Bar Santa Monica where he hosted & shared the stage with such talents as Francois K, Richie Hawtin, Steve Bug, Josh Wink to name a few.
