Ritchie is a British-born musician, singer & songwriter who emigrated in 1972 to Brazil, where he has enjoyed a successful recording career. In 1983 he released his 1st multiplatinum LP, "Vôo de Coração", which spawned 5 chart-topping singles, including the smash hit, "Menina Veneno".
He has released 9 solo albums and recorded with Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Wagner Tiso, Jim Capaldi, Steve Hackett, Dominic Miller, Lulu Santos, Lobão, Ultraje a Rigor, Flávio Venturini, Kid Abelha, Vinicius Cantuária & Patrick Moraz, among other artists.
On 6th March, 2012, Ritchie released his 9th solo album, "60", to mark his 60th birthday. The album covers 15 classic tracks from the 60's that first inspired him to become a musician. To date, it's the only album of his Brazilian career to be sung entirely in his native language. It was recorded and mixed in Rio de Janeiro, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, London.
Ritchie runs his own music label & publishing company, PopSongs, based in Rio.
